Voodoo Doughnut in Portland |
OK, so I got lucky with the weather: It's been beautiful all week in Portland despite it being February. No rain in sight, clear skies, and warm-ish weather. Which is a good thing, because every time I've been to Voodoo Doughnut, there's been a line outside. The line moves pretty quickly, but it can take twenty minutes or longer before you are shoving these strangely-named donuts into your mouth.

Probably you've had a better donut somewhere else, but you probably can't beat the experience of going to Voodoo Doughnut. This is the Disneyland of doughnuts. Waiting in line, the excitement, talking to strangers about donuts, and enjoying your sugary treats in the heart of Portland.
Even the boxes are a lot of fun with intricate drawings to stare at while you are in a sugar stupor.
TIP: It's cash only at Voodoo Doughnut.
