A truck stop isn't exactly the first place you think to take your daughter on your cross-country road trip, but it is when it's got the best cinnamon roll I've ever tasted.

The frosting deserves its own paragraph. It's creamy and sweet, and has a buttery texture. There's plenty slathered over the roll, but don't wait too long to eat it. It's best when it's hot. So we ate the cinnamon roll before our breakfast. It deserved nothing less!

This picture gives you an idea of the size of the cinnamon roll. That's a steak knife stick out of the top!

My daughter had a Denver omelette which had big chunks of tasty ham. I had the country fried steak with biscuits and gravy. Everything tasted great.

Even the hot sauce is good!

Johnson's Corner has plenty of comfortable booths, a store, and amenities for truckers. It is located just north of Denver in Johnstown. It's definitely worth the trip if you're already in Denver.
