Frying Fish & Chips at The Frying Scotsman in Portland
The Frying Scotsman is a food trailer in a downtown Portland food pod as seen on Eat Street. There's just one guy with a Scottish accent in there, and he's frying up fresh fish and chips. And it doesn't get any fresher than this -- your fried fish is dumped directly from the fryer into your to-go box. There's no intermediate stop at a draining station. See more pictures after the break.
The fish & chips at The Frying Scotsman are so fresh I put them on my list of Best Fish & Chips in Portland.
TIP: Grab a pile of napkins and grab your fried fish with them. It's really hot and greasy.
ANOTHER TIP: Take your fresh fish & chips to O'Bryant Square. It's just across the street kitty-corner and you can find a place to sit.
YET ANOTHER TIP: He's only open around lunch time, so check his web site for hours.
