After a morning's drive to Mt. Lemmon, I enjoyed a fresh steak salad at The B Line as seen on $40 A Day with Rachel Ray in downtown Tucson, Arizona. Read my full review with pictures after the break.

The B Line Restaurant is sort of coffee shop, partly a bar, and something of a restaurant. It's got several rooms on different levels, some with bars and stools and some with tables. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have wine and beer too. There were quite a few local beers available.

The atmosphere is very relaxed, and reminds me of a Starbucks because there were people hanging out with their laptops, and since B Line is close to the University of Arizona, there were students studying and chatting.

The steak was a filet and it was grilled perfectly for a salad; that is to say, not too well done. The greens were very fresh with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. This was a filling and refreshing lunch after a hot day's drive in the desert.

The hostess recommended the avocado dressing, so that's what I got. It was creamy and fresh. The perfect topping for this salad.

After your meal at The B Line, you can wander down 4th Avenue to enjoy more restaurants, shops, and book stores.
