Kale Goodness smoothie at The Green Fork in New Orleans (Metairie)

I'm on a roll with vegan smoothies having just tried the vegan smoothies at Smoothie King. Today I tried the Goodness smoothie at The Green Fork in Metairie in New Orleans. Read my review of it and the takeaway salad after the jump.

The Green Fork has a full menu of smoothies and juices made with local organic ingredients. The friendly staff helped me pick the Goodness smoothie, which is kale, banana, dates, coconut water, nut milk, and cinnamon. It's a little sweet, with a hint of cinnamon and dates coming through to balance out the greens. Very fresh and tasty.

I also grabbed a Super Kale Salad from the fridge to save for my dinner. This is definitely a full meal in itself. It's packed with plenty of greens, along with carrots, golden raisins, cucumbers, onions, bell peppers, grape tomatoes, hulled hemp seeds, and goji berries. These were all crisp and fresh. A home-made basil-lime dressing is included and it's delicious.
