We enjoyed our
lunch at Cafe Carmo so much that we decided to try another New Orleans eatery with vegetarian options. Read my review of our tofu, meat, and seafood dishes at Green Goddess after the jump.

Lemongrass tofu breadless po boy with a side of Creole kale
This was the vegan dish for me. I loved this. The tofu has a lot of flavor, and it is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The creole kale is also nicely-seasoned without being spicy. |

Cuban Luau sandwich
For the meat-lover at the table. It's Hawaiian Volcanic Black Salt slow-roasted pork, finocchiona salami, manchego cheese, roasted pineapples, creole pickles, garlic aioli, and creole mustard. My wife said this is the best Cuban sandwich she's ever had. It's also the biggest and meatiest Cuban I've seen. |

Red Eye Grits, Greens, and Eggs
Truffle grits, creole kale, sweet potato biscuit and crab boil poached eggs. You can get this with pork belly but we had grilled local tofu with sweet red eye gravy. Everything on this plate was delicious. |
